Synoptic Chart
A trough over the Northern islands with associated low pressure near NW of New Zealand. Meanwhile, a high pressure about south Australia extend a ridge towards the southern islands.

 

Satellite Images
Based on the latest (IR/VS) satellite imagery, which includes a six-hour loop indicates scattered to broken of low to mid-level clouds over the southern Islands, elsewhere, Scattered, Broken to Overcast low to high level clouds. Latest METAR and Synoptic observations correlate with the current satellite imagery.

 

Models
The trough mentioned above is slowly shifting towards Fiji and will remain over the northern islands till tomorrow. The ridge is expected to push over Vanuatu group later today till the weekend. The weak low pressure mentioned above will move pass New Zealand by Thursday. The high-pressure will reach the Tasman Sea by Friday.

 

Outlook for the next 7 days
Cloudy with showers and light rain over most of the group. Clearings will be also expected later today over southern and parts of central islands.Similar weather expected tomorrow. Rain & showers spreading over the group on Wednesday and it may last till Thursday. Showers will retrieve towards the Northern islands leaving fine weather elsewhere on Friday. Partly Cloudy to fine weather with possible brief showers expected for this coming weekend.Light variable winds over the Northern islands while light to moderate SE expected elsewhere.Minimum temperatures for tonight range from 18°C down south to 24°C up north.
Maximum temperatures for tomorrow range from 25°C down south to 32°C up north.
